CSE-IT Trainings

The Commercial Sexual Exploitation-Identification Tool (CSE-IT) is a screening tool meant to assist professionals in identifying children and youth who are commercially sexually exploited developed by West Coast Children’s Center. It has been adopted and endorsed for widespread use across the State of Texas by the Child Sex Trafficking Team in the Office of the Governor.

The CSE-IT User Training prepares participants to use the CSE-IT in their work settings. It includes an orientation to the tool, a description of CSE-It indicators, scoring instructions, and possible next steps. To use the CSE-IT well, users also need foundational knowledge provided by the training, including an understanding of commercial sexual exploitation, an understanding of trauma, and a review of helpful approaches and engagement skills. The CSE-IT tool, combined with increased awareness and understanding of commercial sexual exploitation, enhances users' ability to identify children and youth who have experienced this abuse. Unbound Houston’s Executive Director has been approved to offer trainings outside of our agency. You may register for upcoming trainings at the link below or request a training at your location.
